Policies and Procedures

COVID-19

Due to many unknown aspects of COVID-19, all clients are required to supply a note from a doctor stating that it's safe to receive a massage. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or are experiencing flu-like symptoms, Please reschedule your appointment. You are required to wear a mask the entire time that you're in the building with the exception that you may remove your mask when you're face down on the massage table. We provide a pillowcase which hangs inside the facecradle so that when you're facedown you will not be exposed to room air.

Arrival

First time clients are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment to fill out paperwork.  We understand that things happen and sometimes there are circumstances out of your control, so should you arrive later than your appointment time, you may have a shortened session.  Should you need to cancel your appointment entirely, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice.  Clients providing at least 24 hours notice may cancel or reschedule at no charge.  Clients providing less than 24 hours notice or who do not show up will be fully charged for the missed session.  In the event that you cancel in less than 24 hours or do not show for your scheduled appointment, please provide an explanation, as each situation will be handled on an individual basis.

Comfort

We are trained to assure you that you are properly covered during the entire session, and your privacy will always be respected.  During your session, you will be fully draped, with the exception of the body part being worked on.

We request that cell phones be turned off during your session.

If you have an illness or contagious condition, please call before 24 hours to reschedule your appointment.  Massage and Bodywork are not recommended if you are ill.

Professional Boundaries

Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and reported to the proper authorities.

Confidentiality and Conversation

The discussion between the therapist and the client is confidential.  The client may or may not choose to talk during the session, although the benefit of your session is greater if you are completely relaxed.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the therapist informed of any medical history, current and past, as some massage and bodywork is not recommended for certain medical conditions.

Pregnancy and Massage

Massage therapy can be very beneficial for women during pregnancy.  Please be sure to advise us if you are pregnant or think you may be.
